Let’s celebrate Abarai Renji’s birthday
Renji Abarai is a very popular anime character from the anime Bleach. He appeared originally for the first time in the Bleach manga’s 6th chapter, volume 51 and in the Bleach anime series’ 16th episode. He is a Shinigami and Lieutenant of the 6th Division. His weapon is a Zanpakuto named Zabimaru. Renji’s base of operations is Seireitei in Soul Society.
Renji is always in the top 25 in Character polls, making him a very popular character. He is best known as a cocky and eccentric, sometimes clueless and funny character and can get depressed if he is defeated in battle. He has a serious side that comes through when someone he cares about is in danger.
His story can be inspiring. He grew up in the streets of 78th District of Rukongai, Inuzuri with several other children, Rukia Kuchiki being one of them. These children look after each other and helped each other because they all came to soul society alone, and tried to search for their families. But in time many of the children died and only Renji and Rukia remained. They then decided to become Shinigami because they both had spiritual power. They enter Shin’ō Academy easily and struggled to prove themselves, as they were not nobles like most of the other students. They, later on, became Shinigami and each found a place of stature in the ranks.
