Anime immortalized in Bronze

What does ‘Urusei Yatsura, Astro Boy and Galaxy Express 999 have in common except being anime? Well at Ōizumi-gakuen Station you will find the answer.

You see, these three anime were immortalized as bronze statues at the Ōizumi-gakuen Station on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line in Nerima, Tokyo.

Astro from Astro Boy, Lum from Urusei Yatsura and Tetsuro as well as Maetel from Galaxy Express 999 are posing eternally as life-size version of themselves at the station.

The Ōizumi-gakuen station is not new to giving homage to anime since popular anime often decorate it’s train cars and walls making it one awesome place to visit for the anime fanatikal….

Definitely a place to visit when going on a ‘pilgrimage’ to Japan.
