The Live-Action Ghost in the Shell movie daydream might come true

Many anime fanatiks have daydreamed about a live-action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell. It seems that those dreams may come true. According to the entertainment news website Deadline, Dreamworks is in ‘early talks’ with actress Margot Robbie (from The Wolf of Wall Street) to star in the American live-action version of Masamune Shirow’s Ghost in The Shell.

Also it seems that Rupert Sanders the director of the movie Snow White and the Huntsman would direct this movie. One wonders if they can pull this off, and they have huge shoes to put on because the cyber-police anime Ghost in the Shell is one of the most beloved anime movies and anime series of all time, and as we know Americanized versions of Asian as well as anime movies are not always that good.

Any fanatik of the Japanese movies Ringu and Ringu 2 would agree that that were better than the American adaptations The Ring and The Ring 2. Sometimes nothing can beat the original. But on a positive note, if this live Action movie of Ghost in the Shell happens, we might like it. Now, wouldn’t that be sugoi.
