It is summer season in Japan. At night all over Japan, fireflies bring a romantic ambiance to the summer nights, by day the beauty of the sunflower fields brings its own type of magic and soon it will be mountain climbing season and the daring and brave will climb Mount Fuji. A new season of anime is upon us as well and we pause to take a look at some of the anime that will start this Japanese summer. We also look at what spring anime the AnimeFanatika team enjoyed.

Other anime that caught the eye are The Reflection, which promises to be Super Hero/Mystery anime from the Studio Deen anime house and then there is Yami Shibai’s fifth season from anime house ILCA that will terrorise us with Urban as well as folk legends from Japan.

Anime the AnimeFanatika team watched last season

Last season oozed super sugoi anime. The AF team had difficulty to choose their top five anime series for the past spring season.

Takeshi’s list: Berserk Season 2, Boku no Hero Academia Season 2, Busou Shoujo Machiavellianism, Clockwork Planet and Warau Salesman New (Ookami also wanted this one on his list).

Ookami’s List: Attack on Titan Season2, Granblue Fantasy the Animation, Kabukibu, Sagrada Reset and Tsugumomo.

Both mention the following honourable mentions: Alice to Zouroku, Atom the Beginning and Oushitsu Kyoushi Haine (The Royal Tutor).
