On the day of Rokuro and Benio’s meeting the first impression the both of them had of each other was basically “I will never get along with you” and after a show of one of Rokuro’s weak points (he gets lost easily) he gets pulled into a different dimension, Magano which is a realm where the kegare reside (the mortal enemies of the exorcists almost like demons) and that is where Benio learns the true strength of Rokuro when he exorcises in one blow a, kegare wich Benio couldn’t , after Rokuro learns that Benio will be staying in his house for a time because she was called upon by the head of the exorcists group Arima Tsuchimikado(Daisuke Namikawa).

Later Arima shows up to fetch not only Benio but Rokuro as well and after an extremely powerful battle, they are then granted the prestigious title, twin star exorcists, two supreme exorcists fated to marry and then give birth to the ultimate spiritual warrior, the miko!

Review:

This anime is for anyone who has a thirst for action packed battles , every episode has either a scene where someone is fighting or an exorcist who is fighting against a kegare. It might also be interesting for people who enjoy comedic romance anime seeing as Rokuro and Benio are supposed to give birth to the “miko” and the deeply dislike each other.

The battles in this anime are similar to the anime ‘Tokyo Ravens‘, where the main plot is very similar to Sousei no Onmyouji seeing as they both contain the piece of plot ‘exorcists’. For the romantic comedy part of the anime, a similar anime would be ‘Nisekoi‘ where the main character has problems with “dating” someone from a different “gang” to ensure peace between the two “gangs”.

The animation style is similar to Tokyo Ravens and appears to have the theme fire all throughout this anime seeing as almost every episode has something burning or steaming, the way the people show the “kegare” being exorcised is a large pentagram on their chests after they have been hit with an attack
The music fits with the theme of Japanese exorcists the name is ‘Valkyrie-ikusa otome ‘ by Wagakki Band, the first ending song’s name is ‘Eyes’ by Hitomi kaji, the second opening’s name is ‘Re:Call’ by i☆Ris, the second ending’s name is ‘Yadoriboshi’ by Itowokashi.  Sousei no Onmyouji scores a 7 out of 10.
