Death Note New Generation
While many are waiting with bated breath for the live-action Death Note Light up the NEW world movie to arrive on October 29 the official website of the movie began streaming a very interesting video yesterday. For those Death Note fanatiks that really crave to see Death Note Light up the NEW world, they created a prequel mini-series, Death Note New Generation and the miniseries premieres on Hulu Japan today!
This three-part web-drama series will focus on the characters Tsukuru Mishima, Ryūzaki, and Yūki Shien from the movie. Episode one ‘Shinsei’ (Rebirth) focus on Mishima and his involvement with the Death Note task force. Episode two, ‘Ishi’ (Dying Wish) shows us the incident that led Ryūzaki to the Death Note task force, and will air on September 23rd. Episode three ‘Kyōshin’ (Fanaticism) focus on Shien and will air on September 30th.
The new movie is playing off in the present day, ten years after the events of the first two movies, where there are new characters that ‘inherited the DNA of Light Yagami and L’ and they will take part in a battle over six Death Notes on earth. In the original manga, it was mentioned that up to six Death Notes and Shinigami could exist in our world, and this will bring a stronger suspense factor to the upcoming movie. The prequel mini-series will hopefully give us all a good taste of what awaits us.
The 80-second preview video for the Death Note mini-series prequel showcases scenes from all three episodes and also features Namie Amuro’s song ‘Fighter’, the theme song of the series, which will also serve as an insert song. Death Note New Generation preview video.
Pokémon Sun & Moon
With every generation of Pokémon games, there has been a TV series to accompany them, showcasing the Pokémon from that game. We all have grown up watching the series and how Ash (Satoshi), everybody’s favourite eternal ten-year-old, went from Hoenn, to Kalos to various other regions in his world, battling gyms with his kawaii Pokémon sidekick, Pikachu. The kid never went to school, except when coming across a school by chance in his adventures, and then just stayed a day or to help a student or teacher with a Pokémon problem (with Jesse, James and Meowth usually adding to the problem).
Now it is time for a new game and a new anime to accompany it, the new anime being Pokémon Sun & Moon. This time, these seem to be a difference to the previous seasons of the series. It seems that Ash and his new posse will not travel the Alola region as he did with Kalos, Johto and the other regions. He is finally going to school, as a transfer student, and of course, there are new Pokémon to meet and according to an announcement he will also get to meet Kapu Kokeko, the protector god of the Alola region. We will also see the new Z-Moves that will feature in the games. The anime is inspired by the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon Nintendo 3DS games and will premiere in Japan in November.
The Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon games will be released on November 18th in North America and Japan followed by a November 23rd European release. The game will be available in Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Korean and Chinese, with a player option to choose the language of preference. Pokémon Sun & Moon anime Teaser
