Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans

New information came to light on Saturday about the second season of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. The Gundam.info website also started to stream a new promotional video. It has been revealed that SPYAIR (Samurai Flamenco) is performing this new season’s opening song, and GRANRODEO (Bungo Stray Dogs) is performing the ending song.

New cast members will include Ryota Ohsaka (Gundam Reconguista in G), Makoto Furukawa (Orange), Subaru Kimura (Doraemon), Kimiko Saito (Dimension W), Toru Ohkawa (Fullmetal Alchemist), Nobunaga Shimazaki (Free!). M.A.O (Space Patrol Luluco) and Tomoaki Maeno (The Morose Mononokean). Season 1 premiered in October 2015 and season 2 will premiere one October 2nd.

As One Piece fanatiks may remember, the 13th One Piece Movie, One Piece Film Gold was released in Japan July 23rd. The movie earned 4.46 billion yen in its 4-week run, making it the third successful One Piece movie to date. The end of the run is approaching and to attract more fans to the theatres, an illustration card, drawn by One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda himself, will be given to the moviegoers from September 3rd. The card also contains autographs by the fifteen voice actors printed on its back. Madman Entertainment, an Australian distribution company, started to stream an English-subtitled trailer of the movie over the weekend. The movie will premiere, with English subtitles, in Australia at the Madman Anime Festival on September 3rd.

Guest starring the movie is Kazuhiro Yamaji (Kamen Rider) as Gild Tesoro, the main antagonist. Gild Tesoro is a casino tycoon that controls the massive golden ship Gran Tesoro and he’s a devil fruit user who ate the ‘Gol Gol’ Fruit. His is exceptionally wealthy, rumoured to own 20 of the ‘Beli’ value that exist in the world. Gran Tesoro is an entertainment city that is free from World Government interference. Other cast members include Hikari Mitsushima as Carina, Gaku Hamada as Mr. Tanaka, Nanao as Baccarat, Kinya Kitaōji as Reizu Max, Kendo Kobayashi as Dice, Arata Furuta as Kent Beef Jr. and Pork, Korokke as Jimmy Myers, and Nadaru as Morkin.

Hiraoaki Miyamoto who directed One Piece episodes 352 to 679 directed the movie and Eiichiro Oda, creator the One Piece Manga was executive producer of the movie. Oda also is costume design. Tsutomu Kuroiwa (live-action Black Butler film) wrote the scripts and Masayuki Sato were on Character designs and chief animation director. The art director for the movie was Kazuo Ogura. The movie’s theme song was ‘Ikari o Kure yo’ by GLIM SPANKY.
