In This Corner of the World
A 90-second-trailer was posted on Wednesday for the upcoming movie adaptation of the award-winning manga Kono Sekai no Katasumi ni (In This Corner Of The World). The trailer introduces the vocal talent of voice actress Non (Also known as Rena Nounen) who will play the anime’s protagonist Suzu Hojo. Other cast members include Yoshimasa Hosoya, Daisuke Ono, Natsuki Inaba, Minori Omi, Shigeru Ushiyama and Megumi Han.
Chie Utarani (Black Lagoon: Roberta’s Blood Trail) is working as assistant director on the project and is also in charge of screen composition. Hidenori Matsubara (Sakura Wars) is responsible for Character design and is the animation director, while MAPPA studio founder, Masao Maruyama, does the planning. Kotringo the singer/songwriter provides the movie’s soundtrack. The anime will be released on November 12th, 2016.
The movie is based on Fumiyo Kono’s award-winning manga and it follows the story of Suzu Urano, a bride that adjusts to a new life in Kure City (at the coast of Hiroshima Prefecture) during World War II, and how she persevere during that dark part in history. The manga series won an Excellence Prize at the 13th Japan Media Arts Festival and even inspired a live-action television special in 2011.

Pop In Q
In January 2017 a new movie will hit the movie theaters in Japan named Pop in Q. This movie, directed by Naoki Miyahara was created to celebrate Toei Animation’s 60th anniversary and Toei Animation will highlight the fantastical element of the story.
The movie tells the tale of five girls facing not only the hardship of the transitions into adolescence as they are graduating from middle to high school but also them facing a quest to save a magical realm using the powers of music and dance.

Imagine this. You are sitting with a girl and she stares into your eyes lovingly, the next moment she offers you a taste of her ramen affectionately. You, in turn, ask her to taste a morsel from your bowl as well. The fact that she is behind a screen and not really there need not be a bad thing if you let your imagination flow with the virtual date and allow this young lady to virtually enjoy her meal with you. A special promotion at the chain’s America Mura or Tejinbashi branches offers you a card with a QR code. Thus gives you access to one of five videos starring the lovely members of the idol group Hamburgirls Z who will virtually be on a date with you, all you have to do is upload the video to your smartphone and watch and let imagination take you on a date with an idol.

Light Ramen Recipe
Feeling like making some ramen? We offer you a light ramen recipe and it is lovely. The recipe is for two servings. Our ingredients are 1200ml water, 50g green onion, 200g chicken thighs, 5g garlic, 8g ginger, salt to taste and 1 tsp sesame oil. The seasoning includes 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp sake, 1 tbsp mirin, 1 tsp sugar, garlic & ginger (3g~e each). Toppings to use are Narutomaki (fish cake), Konegi onion, Beni shoga (pickled ginger) and Soft-boiled or half boiled egg.
