Bento Bites – Naruto Shippūden & Bleach

Exciting new announcement for Bleach soon!

Naruto Shippūden and Bleach are, to some, the best manga and anime series ever. We share some news about both franchises. Hungry for anime? Itadakimasu!!

Naruto Shippūden

After the main Naruto manga ended in 2014, Shueisha published ten novels based on the Naruto Franchise. There are already six novels in the Hiden (Hidden Story) series dealing with a different character(s): Kakashi, Shikamaru, Sakura, Gaara, the Akatsuki, and Konoha ninjas in general. There are also the Shinden novels dealing with Sasuke and Itachi. Viz Media published three novels Naruto: Kakashi’s Story, Naruto: Shikamaru’s story and Naruto: Sakura’s Story. Yesterday there even was a new book released Konoha Shinden: Steam Ninja Scrolls, a light novel with Mirai Sarutobi, Kakashi Hatake and Might Guy set between the 700th chapter of the manga and Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring.

With this new novel came the announcement that three Naruto novels are to be adapted into an anime! Novels Konoha Hiden: The Perfect Day for a Wedding, Shikamaru Hiden: A Cloud Drifting in Silent Darkness and Sasuke Shinden: Book of Sunrise will be part of the winter anime this year it seems.

We wonder if these three novels will be incorporated into the current Naruto Shippūden anime or stand alone. It seems practical to include it in the current anime and has been done before like this year, an arc in the Naruto Shippūden anime was an adaptation of the Itachi Shinden novels. Naruto Fanatiks will remember that the arc, Naruto Shippūden: Itachi Shinden-hen: Hikari to Yami started airing on March 3rd, based on Takashi Yano’s spin-off novel Itachi Sinden which revealed the tale of Itachi before the start of the Naruto Manga. Adapting these novels to anime give Naruto Fanatiks that are not kanji-literate a chance to experience them as well.

We all loved the Naruto Shippūden Opening songs, but some of us have never seen the original videos of the artists that perform them since it is Friday and Friday means fun, let us look at a few Original video versions of Naruto Shippūden Opening Songs. Please follow the links:

Bleach

While finally getting closure on Bleach with the manga ending, some Bleach Fanatiks may be sad that it is ending on August 22nd. Bleach is huge; it inspired an anime series, four anime movies, and a series of novels, video games, rock stage musicals and many cosplayers all over the world. But it seems the inspiration is not over as Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine will announce on Monday an ‘important announcement’ about the Bleach franchise.

The fun part is that we can speculate a bit before Monday. The announcement can either be that the anime, which stopped after 366 episodes, will start up again, or that a reboot anime series will start, it may even be that it is actually announcing a new spin-off manga set in the ‘Bleachverse’. We all have to wait until Monday to find out; luckily Monday is not far off.

We also share some of the original videos of Bleach songs. Please follow our links:
