We review a Nendoroid of the knight of Justice, Batman
Everybody that is everybody knows Batman. He is one of the three most popular DC Comics heroes, Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman, who are warriors for truth, justice and the American way. Created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger, Batman first appeared in Detective Comics issue 27 on May 1939. Over the decades he appeared in many forms in many comics, movies, television series and animated series. Batman’s alter ego is playboy millionaire Bruce Wayne who as a child saw his parents murdered in an alley and it made him swore revenge on all criminals.
Bruce Wayne trained himself physically and mentally, used his father’s company and other resources to help him make the Bat Suit and became the caped crusader, Batman. Throughout the years other heroes became part of his quests like his sidekick Robin, Bat Girl and much more. In the comics, he also became a close friend of Superman and aided the Man of Steel many times.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
In the 2016 movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Batman appears in yet another ‘incarnation’ of the hero. The movie is a sequel of the 2013 Man of Steel movie. The movie boast with a huge cast; Ben Affleck (Batman), Henry Cavill (Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), Jeremy Irons (Alfred Pennyworth), Holly Hunter (June Finch) and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), to name but a few. The movie also features other well-known DC Characters like Doomsday, Jimmy Olsen, Cyborg, Aquaman and The Flash.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is the first live-action movie that features Batman and Superman together, and a first for Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and Flash to appear in a live-action cinematic portrayal as well. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice plays off 18 months after the events in the Man of Steel movie. Clark Kent (Superman) moved in with Lois Lane. Batman, who’s been operating in Gotham City for two decades sees Superman as a potential threat to humanity. On the other hand, Clark sees Batman as a threat and tries to put a spanner in Batman’s works using his work as the ace reporter at the Daily Planet in Metropolis. And of course, Lex Luthor sees a gap and manipulate Batman into a preemptive battle with his favourite obsession, Superman. This is the setting of the epic movie.

Overall: A serious 7.75
Paint Job – 8
The Nendoroid’s paint job is nicely done and it gives it a heavy and metallic feeling.
Sculpting – 8
The detail on the Batman Nendoroid is well done, but the Batarang needs a little touch more.
Design – 7
Including the Bat Signal in the design is a very nice touch, would have been even better maybe if they include a Bat Signal lamp to get that full authentic ‘Batman’ effect. The design is great but the Batarang looks a little unconvincing, sadly.
Display Worth – 8
To a serious collector, this will be a must.
The Nendoroid 628 Batman – Justice Edition is not bad at all but there are even better tailored Batman Nendoroids out there. Still, this one will definitely sell like hotcakes. Well done Good Smile Company.
