Introducing UQ Holder and Busō Shōjo Machiavellism
We look at a new game inspired by the Dark Fantasy manga and anime Berserk and share news on two new anime series in the works: Busō Shōjo Machiavellism and UQ Holder. Hungry for anime? Itadakimasu!!
Already, most of us are licking our lips in anticipation for the new Berserk anime due to start next week and now we are over the moon to announce that a game is in the works, heavily inspired by the anime and manga! The games working title is ‘Berserk’ for now and Koei Techmo already released a teaser trailer for it.
Making a game based on Berserk is a great idea since our hero, Guts has been slaying fiends and demons with a huge sword for over 27 years now and many of us are itching to play a new game based on this fearless swordsman. There have been games based on Berserk before Berserk: Guts’ Rage for the Dreamcast and Berserk: Millennium Falcon Hen Seima Senki no Shō for Playstation 2 but this new project, which is a spin-off of Omega Force’s Dynasty Warriors series will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and PC via Steam, making it a lot more accessible for fanatiks that want to get lost in a sword frenzy in a dark fantasy world. The game will be out sometime this year. Watch this space for more detail!

Busō Shōjo Machiavellism
Yesterday Kadokawa announced that Busō Shōjo Machiavellism (Armed Girl’s Machiavellism), a manga by Karuna Kanzaki (art) and Yūya Kurokami (story) is getting an anime adaptation. It has been serialized since March 2014. The announcement did not explain what type of anime it will be, but here is the manga’s information:
In the manga, the story follows freedom-loving protagonist Fudō Nomura, freshly transferred to Aichi Kyousei Academy where male students are ruled by armed female students.He becomes the target of Rin Onigawa, a member of the Five Ruling Swords. To taste freedom again, Noruma has to defeat the Five Ruling Swords. Will he survive school?

In Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine’s 30th issue on Wednesday there is going to be announced that an anime adaptation of Ken Akamatsu’s UQ Holder! Manga. It will also be revealed that the manga is going to move to Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine after its hiatus which starts in the 30th issue. The manga will make its Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine debut in November.
The manga is set in the same world of Akamatsu’s Negima manga, taking place years after the events of Negima. The protagonist, a boy named Touta dreams of leaving his small town behind and starting a life in the city. In order to achieve that, he must first defeat his teacher, Evangeline, a vampire magician.
