Sunday, videos were released on Gundam Info’s official YouTube showcasing the first seven minutes of the Gundam Thunderbolt: December Sky anime. Gundam Thunderbolt: December Sky is a director’s cut edition of the 4-episode edition of Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt anime, however, it includes newly-produced scenes. Gundam Thunderbolt: December Sky is a 70-minute mecha movie and will be screened at selected Japanese theaters from June 25th for a limited two week period.

The anime plays off in the One Year War in UC 0079 (Same time as the first ever Mobile Suit Gundam anime series. It follows the battles between two ace pilots in the ‘thunderbolt sector’, an area in space with numerous wrecks of warships and space colonies. The English dub of the anime’s cast includes Max Mittelman, Johnny Yong Bosch, Cherami Leigh and Tara Sands.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin IV: Unmei no Zenya

During the “Gundam Live Expo ~Zeon no Seiki~” event on Sunday, the staff working on the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin anime announced that the theme song artist for Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin IV: Unmei no Zenya (Fateful Eve) will be Hiroko Moriguchi. She has previously performed theme songs for Mobile Suit Gundam F91, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, and One-Punch Man.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin IV Unmei no Zenya will cover the first ever Gundam suit battle in history and will feature Char’s encountered with Lalah Sune, Dr. Minovsky as well as the development of the MS-04 and the RX-78.

The First Gundam the Origin movie, ‘Blue-Eyed Caval premiered in February 2015, followed by ‘Artesia’s Sorrow in October, also in 2015. The current movie Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin III: Dawn of Rebellion is currently screening in 15 of Japan’s theaters for a limited two weeks. The standard Blu-Ray and DVD of the movie will start to ship on June 10, 2016.
