Let’s meet Konan
Konan’s family was killed during the Second Shinobi War, and as a little kid, she learned to fend for herself with Yahiko and Nagato. After being rescued from hunger by the Sannin, Jiraiya decided to stay behind, to teach them how to look after themselves. Konan was one of the founding members of the original Akatsuki, after Yahiko’s death she partnered up with Nagato. After his death she defected from Akatsuki and became the village head of Amegakure.
Konan’s name means ‘small mouth’ in Japanese. She shares her birthday and Blood type with Yahiko. According to the databook, her hobbies are origami and flower dressing, her favourite food are flame-broiled fish and her favourite word is ‘Order’.
According to the Naruto Hiden: Sha no Sho Character Official Data Book, Masashi Kishimoto revealed that he’d always planned for Konan to be the only female member of Akatsuki, and, for that reason, gave her quite a revealing design. He jokingly comments “she’s obscene, but she still wears clothes, although her Akatsuki mantle covers it up, and she turns into paper right away”.
Konan’s Jutsu includes:
Paper Shuriken (Kami Shuriken)
Shikigami Dance (Shikigami no Mai)
Paper Clone (Kami Bunshin)
Paper Ocean Technique
Sacred Paper Emissary Jutsu (Kami no Shisha no Jutsu):
