Rumours and News for 2016

We discuss some rumours popping up in the anime world.

Sometimes rumours can be exciting and put you in a positive vibe. We discuss a few, but first let’s look at D.Gray-man’s confirmed return.

D.Gray-man

D.Gray-man

Many of you might remember the 2006 anime D.Gray-man. The anime followed the adventures of 15-year-old Allen Walker who is an exorcist with a left arm that can transform into a monstrous claw to help him destroy beings called Akuma (Which is Japanese for ‘Demon’). The anime ran for 103 episodes and ever since then devout D.Gray-man fanatiks have been wishing for more. Well, it seems anime wishes can come true.

Our favourite exorcist anime is making a big comeback in 2016. There are some changes in voice actors according to Internet chatter. Aymu Murase is replacing Sanae Kobayashi as Allen Walker’s voice and Shinnosuke Tachbana is to replace Daisuke Kishio as Tomoe’s voice. According to the D.Gray-man Mangaka, Katsura Hoshino the story will be a sequel to the 2006 anime adaptation of D.Gray-man. As soon as we know about its release date we will share with you. We wait with bated breath!

One-Punch Man Season 2?

It seems that there are rumours that a season 2 is on its way. Yusuke Murata, the anime’s creator said on December 14 on his Twitter account that he is working hard to make season 2 happen. But bear in mind that season 2 may not happen soon since the manga is still ongoing as well, any they may hold back because there is still not enough content for a season 2 yet.

Episode 12 ended with events that happened in chapter 37 of the manga and the One-Punch Man manga is currently at Chapter 86.

Sword Art Online Season 3?

More rumours hint that the Sword Art Online anime third season release date has been delayed. Reki Kawahara, the author of the Sword Art Online light novels is very interested in developing an anime version of the Sword Art Online: Alicization Arc, but as he is giving the storyline a new angle for the anime, the release date has been pushed back. Further, rumours explore that fact that he is writing a prequel for the Alicization Arc. The release date has been pushed back as far as Summer 2016, for now.

It is safe to say that quite a lot of Sword Art Online fanatiks are hoping for that third season, as the anime is highly popular. Let’s hope everything gets finalized and we can get lost again in Kirito and Asuna’s adventures.
