Assassination Classroom Season 2

In January, the new season for Assassination Classroom will premiere. Season 2 of the anime is directed by Seiji Kishi, who is also known for his work on Danganronpa: The Animation. The anime also features animation done by Lerche.

In Assassination Classroom, a class of misfits tries to attack and kill their new teacher, who happens to be an octopus with super strength and wacky powers. What do you do when your teacher destroys the moon and threatens to destroy the earth? And what if that teacher is actually the best teacher you ever had? The answers to these questions are all answered in the anime.

A season 2 trailer has been released, featuring the voice of Mai Fuchigama that plays the role of Nagisa Shiota. In the video, she describes the classroom’s mission to assassinate the bizarre homeroom teacher, Koro-sensei. To have a look at the anime’s trailer, please follow our link:

Fairy Tail Zero

At last a prequel about the Fairy Tail anime is on its way! It has been revealed that Hiro Mashima’s prequel anime; Fairy Tail Zero is going to start its run in January! It is not going to be just a spin-off series; it is going to be an ongoing Fairy Tail series about the beginning of the Fairy Tail Guild.

The series description is as follows: “Many years ago, Mavis Vermilion was a servant on Sirius Island, mistreated by a guild master and his daughter, Zera. But Mavis stayed positive because her mother once told her that fairies never visit people who cry about their problems. When the guild came under attack, Mavis pulled Zera from the wreckage into the forest. Seven years went by, and the powerful wizards Warrod Sequen, Precht, and Yuri Dreyer arrived on the island, seeking a powerful jade gemstone. This journey would change the course of magical history…”

The anime’s cast will include Mamiko Noto as Mavis, Katsuyuki Konishi as Yury Dreyar, Yoshihisa Kawahara as Precht Gaebolg, Hiroshi Shirokuma as Warrod Sequen and Akira Ishida as Zeref.

Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt

A brand new Gundam series, Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt, is set to premiere digitally on December 25th. The anime will have four episodes and according to the Gundam website the first episode will be available via an EST (Electronic Sell Through) allowing you to download the episode. It is the first time that a Gundam series will be made available through this method.

The story is set in the same One Year War in UC 0079 as the first Mobile Suit Gundam anime series. It follows the battles between two ace pilots at the “Thunderbolt Sector,” a shoal zone with numerous wrecks of space colonies and warships. A tagline revealed: “The two are fated to kill each other.”

The anime cast includes Yūichi Nakamura as Io Fleming, Ryohei Kimura as Daryl Lorentz and Toa Yukinari as Claudia Palh. Kou Matsuo who worked on the Gundam 00 storyboard is directing the anime, Hirotoshi Takaya (Kekkaishi) is doing character designing, while Morifumi Naka (Stink Bomb), Seiichi Nakatani (both Gundam 00 seasons and film), and Hajime Katoki (Gundam Wing) are in charge the animation design.
