See how Hayao Miyazaki and a crazy Vegeta from Dragon Ball Super prepare ramen!
We all love the scenes in Naruto where he sits with Sakura or a few friends eating ramen at Ramen Ichiraku, his favourite restaurant. Many of us have never eaten ramen and would love to know how to make it. Others go crazy and dabble or experiment to create their own versions on what Ramen may be in the kitchen. In today’s Preview Bento, we tantalize your taste buds by showing you some ramen recipes as well as some scenes in anime that are all about ramen. Itadakimasu.
For those that always dreamt of eating some ramen while watching Naruto eat Ichiraku Ramen at his favourite ramen restaurant, we have good news. We found a nice video where a woman recreates the whole recipe and she makes it look easy as well. Hayao Miyazaki’s Poor Man’s “Aurora Style” Salt-flavoured Ramen with eggs
Anime legend Hayao Miyazaki is not just a genius when creating legendary anime like Princess Mononoke (Mononoke Hime), Howl’s Moving Castle, My Friend Totoro and Spirited Away. Miyazaki is, it seems is also a ramen cooking genius with some crazy ninja skills. In the video, we are about to share, Miyazaki takes up the soup spoon and blows the staff’s minds with his dish that he named ‘Poor Man’s “Aurora Style” Salt-flavoured Ramen with eggs’. As you will see, some of the staff were actually shocked that he cooked for them. This all happened while everyone at Studio Ghibli was working on Spirited Away.

A Ramen Comedy-Action Short Movie?!
Ramen can, it seems, bring out the artist in all of us. We found a crazy but sugoi short movie by Michael Chen influenced by the experiences as well as amazing people he met during his one year stay in Sapporo, Japan. The animation tells the tale of a young Salary Man that stumbles across a little ramen shop on his way home from work. The movie is crazy fun to watch and the animation is well done.
